iPad Fluency Assessment

The StepUp iPad Fluency Assessment gives school leaders a simple way to measure early-learning progress. It's an optional assessment, separate from the daily program.

What it measures

The StepUp iPad Fluency Assessment measures the speed and accuracy of a child's responses to auditory prompts in basic reading, math and handwriting skills in PreK and Kindergarten. Together, speed and accuracy give a fluency score. The more fluent a child is with the basics, the better prepared they are for harder concepts in later grades.

Students experience the assessment like a game on an iPad. Each assessment takes about 8 minutes to complete.
